We’re excited to announce that Kais-AIR has officially moved into their new campus in Holly, MI! The 190,000sqft campus is made up of a dedicated shipping and receiving building, manufacturing plant and offices. Beyond cosmetic updates, the investment in the Kais-AIR campus included upgrades like new fabrication equipment, added safety & security measures and energy efficient lighting.
This is an important step in the growth of GK’s newest division. As the General Motors strategic sourcing partner for all air supply houses in North America, Kais-AIR requires their own space to design, fabricate and securely store their modular units. Additionally, the team will need the space to take on their work outside the automotive industry.
The property was selected for a number of reasons; one of them being the room to grow. The expansive campus provides the necessary space for a manufacturing addition. We’re also proud that our skilled Local 292 workforce will have another state-of-the-art space to fabricate from.
The dedicated storage building is also essential to support their commodity buys and modular storage needs during a time of global supply chain challenges. Like GK, the Kais-AIR team focuses on long-term procurement strategies.
Kais-AIR will continue to utilize the GK Detroit Research and Development (R&D) building for the fabrication and testing of their desiccant dehumidification unit, made specifically for battery manufacturing facilities, as well as, their newest all-electric unit.
