TROY, JANUARY 03, 2022 – As we start the new year, we have a few exciting changes to announce. Steadfast in our commitment to continuous growth and diversification, the Gallagher-Kaiser (GK) senior leadership team is transitioning in 2022.
Tracy E. Roberts, currently president and COO, will focus on maintaining and growing the total enterprise; to include Gallagher-Kaiser, Universal Piping Industries (UPI) and Kais-AIR. Reporting to Tracy, Shannon Watts has been promoted to vice president of Gallagher-Kaiser.
As GK’s vice president, Shannon will be responsible for all GK operations from sales to engineering to construction.
Prior to his promotion, Shannon was the GK construction operations director for over 10 years. He has intimate knowledge and a thorough understanding of our operation. Shannon joined the GK team in 2009 as the project director of our new paint shop project at GM Orion.
Following the success of that project, Shannon joined the senior leadership team as a director. In his construction operations role, he worked with every department at GK. Shannon’s experience throughout the enterprise provides a natural transition to successfully oversee Gallagher-Kaiser operations at a higher level.
Taking Shannon’s place as director of construction operations is Simon Parsonage. With experience managing GK projects throughout North America for the last 8 years, Simon is well equipped to take on the new role.
Mark Dunn, GK executive vice president, has retired after 31 years! As detailed below, Jim Pakkala will be responsible for Mark’s sales & estimating duties going forward.
Following Mark Dunn’s retirement at the close of 2021, Jim Pakkala now leads the Gallagher-Kaiser sales and estimating department. Jim is responsible for leading new opportunities, overseeing the proposal process to completion and maintaining successful strategic partnerships with our customers.
Reporting to Shannon Watts, he will also work closely with the GK executive team to produce fiscally competitive results and support company-wide growth efforts.
