GK ACQUIRES PORTION OF TANN CORPORATION

GALLAGHER-KAISER ACQUIRES AN INTEREST IN TANN CORPORATION

DETROIT, JUNE 7, 2019 – As part of Gallagher-Kaiser’s (GK) ongoing commitment to delivering our customers with the most efficient and cost-effective solutions, GK made a significant investment in the Wisconsin-based, air pollution control equipment manufacturer, TANN Corporation.

GK and TANN have worked together for many years to deliver customers with turnkey systems. Now, as part owner, Gallagher-Kaiser will expand their environmental division. With an already aggressive focus on a zero emissions goal, the acquisition can further bolster GK’s ongoing research and development initiatives, like the new patent-pending, spray booth scrubber, the Kaiser Compact Eliminator (KCE).

Further, TANN will expand their fabrication capabilities with access to GK’s new 250,000 SQFT Detroit manufacturing campus.

“The partnership with GK will provide a platform for TANN to focus on product development and technical services; both of which will result in consistent growth and customer satisfaction,” said TANN president Tom Saindon.

Already an unmatched supplier of complete paint shops for the auto industry, Gallagher-Kaiser’s growing portfolio will provide a unique advantage in nearly all applications of air abatement. Best known for industrial scale thermal or recuperative oxidizers and concentrators, TANN brings forth an environmental expertise necessary to support the ambitious goal of reducing emissions in the air.

Going forward, customers will benefit from the in-house expertise of critical components like Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers (RTO); in terms of quality, operational cost savings and efficiency.

Undoubtedly, the impact of such a partnership will be felt on a global scale, with TANN’s locations in both North America and Europe.

The relationship would not be possible without a shared understanding of both social and fiscal responsibility. Both TANN and GK have solidified their presence through an impressive interpretation of the future; demonstrating what it means to consider the environmental impact in every element of design.

“When my father founded this company over 65 years ago, he focused on pollution control systems. Understanding and reducing our carbon footprint has guided our operations since day one. Today, I am proud to partner with an organization that shares our vision for the future. TANN’s expertise will impact how Gallagher-Kaiser engineers and constructs the air abatement portion of our projects,” said GK owner and CEO Bob Kaiser. “I know the GK team is grateful to join forces with TANN and for the growth this relationship is sure to bring.”
