Once again, the Gallagher-Kaiser (GK) Play With Purpose charity hockey game, presented by Hockey Has Heart, was a success! In an effort to raise awareness of the dangers of distracted driving, the third annual event brought together top players from the NHL, NCAA and USHL.
Held at the USA Hockey Arena, the game raised funds to support organizations and initiatives dedicated to ending distracted driving; the PEERS Foundation, #HandsFreeMichigan, and B.R.A.K.E.S.
The fun event provides a unique opportunity for fans to witness top talent from the hockey community compete against one another for a critical cause.
With the support of local sponsors, students, friends and families alike, the Play With Purpose game continues to make progress in educating our communities on how dangerous using your phone behind the wheel can truly be.
Most importantly, this is a cause relevant to all ages; as so clearly represented in the multiple generations within the audience each year. No person, family or place is exempt from the tragedy that results from distracted driving.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the 2019 Play With Purpose game; with your continued support we can help put an end to this nation-wide epidemic!
